Panteón Municipal and a Street Shot (11 Mar 2009)

A couple of shots that are a little lighter in tone, even if one is in a graveyard.  Morelia is a city of light and warmth, both in its temperature and more importantly its people. It was 82 today, and the jacaranda trees are blooming; their purple petals are strewn throughout the city.  It is so beautiful here that I had to stop Toni from running out and buying one of the beautiful houses that populate the Centro Historico.  These city homes are built around an open courtyard, so that the cascades of bougainvillea are an integral part of one’s life.
